A Social Worker with 11 years of experience working in practical settings. My main areas of practice have involved working with people with issues related to mental health, dual diagnosis, drug and alcohol misuse, and trauma-related symptoms. I also have a keen interest in community development and have been involved in a range of community projects including a domestic violence initiative in Warwick, QLD as well as the Under 1 Roof Consortium in Ipswich.
I currently work for Pathways to Personal Safety, which is an organization based on supporting people who have issues related to traumatic symptoms and are diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. My understanding as a Social Worker is that trauma is an often undetected disorder in the community, but affects a wide range of people in society and causes many social problems. Therefore I am committed to working with people who experience these issues to help them to have felt safe and have a brighter future.
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and able to do private consultations under the Medicare Better Outcomes Program. These sessions will be bulk billed and can be accessed by a referral from GPs. If you need any further information please don’t hesitate to contact me.
