Dr Indra graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 1990 and worked there for nine years before she started working in Australia.

She worked in Australia at Mount Isa, Logan, Gympie, Lowood and Caboolture and gained extensive experience in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Gynecology, Emergency Medicine and General Practice before becoming part of the team at Star Medical Centre Woodridge.

Indra enjoys working with ethnic communities and has a strong understanding that culture and beliefs are directly related to health and well-being.

Outside of work, Indra likes to read books and newspapers, listen to music and spend time with her kids.

Dr Indra Ekanayake is a female GP in Logan Central, QLD who speaks English and Sinhalese.
